From the local guide
Thailand's largest water park. A 105-meter wooden temple-palace built without a single nail. A glass tunnel surrounded by sharks. A garden with one of the world's biggest tropical-plant collections. The Pattaya area packs in far more than its reputation suggests.
Our companion ebook sorts it all into a real plan, with honest local picks and ready-made day itineraries so you spend your time, not waste it.
Plan your days with the ebookA great deal. Gardens, temples, markets, water parks, golf courses and cultural sites are all within a short drive, and Bangkok is roughly two hours away for a day trip.
The Sanctuary of Truth in the morning, Nong Nooch or a beach in the afternoon, and a night market in the evening. That covers culture, scenery and food without rushing.
The Vegetarian Festival runs 10 to 18 October 2026, Chonburi buffalo racing falls around 25 October, and Loy Krathong, the festival of floating lights, lands around 24 November. All three are worth seeing, and all three fill the hotels.
Yes. Several Buddhist holy days carry a nationwide alcohol ban, including Asarnha Bucha and Khao Phansa on 28 and 29 July 2026 and Ok Phansa on 26 October. Bars close and shops stop selling for the day, so it is worth knowing before you book.
